Watercoloue study in my sketchbook for details ins Watercoloue study in my sketchbook for details inscribed on 'What the Land has lost,' one of my ceramic vessel sculptures in Counterpoint @magamnsw with paintings by Jude Rae and Ruth Waller.
This afternoon from 3-4pm Ruth Waller and I will be in conversation with. curator Katherine Roberts in a gallery walk around. I am very much looking forward to our shared perceptions and dialogue.
I will post some vessel images next week.

2.The Lake: the name was recorded as "Bhurril" by surveyor Thomas Florance in 1828.
The area is part of the traditional lands of the Murramarang people.with evidence of over 20,000 years of continuous occupation by the Murramarang people of the Yuin nation. The area was known for its abundant resources and is rich in archaeological sites, including shell middens, stone artifacts,
3. the island : Tabourie coastal lagoon, lake, and island were vital food sources rich in fish and shellfish for local inhabitants, Dhurga, Walbanja, and/or Wadandian Aboriginal groups.
4 the mountain Didthul
Both coatal locations are interconnected through traditional songlines and stories related to Didthul.(Didthul means' a woman's breast. In the 18th century Captain James Cook saw the mountain when sailing north along the coast. He named her 'Pigeon House' Mountain. Didthul is her proper ancestral name.)

Curator, Candace Richards writes:
'In ancient Athens, the Kerameikos was the potter’s quarter, a hub of innovation where artisans produced some of the most sought-after ceramics of the Mediterranean region...'

Also on show is the enlightening
'J.W. Power: Art, war and the avant-garde' curated by Ann Stephen
and 'Big Power Energy' in which various artists have been invited to select a contemporary work from the Power Collection about which each has written a perceptive response.
Two other deeply engaging contempory exhibitions: 'dance as protest' and 'Asian Scroll' critically engage with the museum's collections and cultural contexts.

at Interval for 'Dial M for murder' at the Ensembl at Interval for 'Dial M for murder' at the Ensemble theatre, I needed a dry sherry. Nothing doing at the bar, so made do with the view. Prettily lit ferries, twilight blue harbour, a breeze.
As for the play: great cast with ironic delivery in voice and gesture. Suitably retro costumes and set. Witty direction with some clever surprise adjustments to Knott's script. It beat the heat.

Chris and I were invited to the old shack (1936) t Chris and I were invited to the old shack (1936) to see the new year in with my cousins and some old friends that we have known since we were a summer gang of children. Other friends and family came: so many stories. Other people lit fireworks on the beach.
Things to finish.Things to begin.
Happy new year.
