Auspicious beginnmgs for AgitPot studio as ‘Fern’ the Fox, avatar of visitor, Hannah Gray actress and mask maker, spontaeously enacted her ‘lope’ dance. Meg Patey presented two studio warming beakers, I traded a tiny vase for a tiny vase ( for the ‘Vaserium’) with Elizabeth Rowe. At the end of the day, champagne was served from the wedging table to toast all those conversations and introductions that took place in this room between visiiting friends, local artists, fellow potters, neighbours, relatives, gardeners and collectors. Three cheers for Australian Ceramics for the terrific ACOS iniatiative! Thanks to Mark Kelly welding a sculpture stand in time, Leane Boot signage and flyers, my next door neighbour for baking brownies and ginger biscuits, Pat, lunch, Sharona help with sales, Brett Stone excellent open studio ‘how to’ advice. Inspirational cyanotype bunting by Paola Talbert.
